When did LTSB pay settlement money into your account?

Got a full + final settlement letter thru from LTSB today. Will be accepting amount offered + v. pleased about it too!

 

Just wondering how long it's taken others to actually get their money?

 

Also, when I send a covering letter back to SC&M should I give them a deadline to pay up?

 

Have already said that I won't be sending a letter of discontinuance to court until I have the money, but would I be pushing my luck if I gave them until 10.30am on 9th July (settlement letter was dated 25th June)? Or shall I just wait until they pay me in their own sweet time?

 

I've read on here it can take up to 4 weeks to get the money.

Hi furrypest - had settlement letter on Saturday, sent it off on Monday and money in my account today. Think it varies a lot but you should get it any day.

I got a letter from lloyds saying that they think that the charges are fair and i shouldn't go overdrawn blah blah blah, towards the end of the letter they said that on this occasion they where willing to refund my claim minus court fee and interest. they said the money was goin to be in my account within 10 days time. the letter was dated the 8th june and i didnt get the letter til the 22nd. and yep you guessed it ive not got the money. so figure that one out. the battle goes on........ was there any anomolies with date on letter with either of you?

no - my letter was dated 19th June and I got it on the following saturday (23rd). I did get a letter on Friday (22nd) stating they were defending my claim and this was also dated the 19th. Most people seem to get these two letters on the same day but mine got separated by a day. Sent settlement letter back this monday and had the money today. Did phone them today so don't know if this helped (probably not) but (being a girl and being impatient) I certainly would phone them especially in your case.

It wasnt a formal letter of settlement. more of a paragraph in a letter telling me that I was goin to get some of my claim back within 10 days. it required no reply and when ive tried to contact the recovery centre its impossible to talk to anyone at all. sent off my aq the other day, so its just a waiting game.
