  1. Ah you could tell I was getting a little manic over this. i see on the forum that you are also having a very busy Sunday morning, I hope everyone is tipping your scales. thanks a bundle, I'm off to the shops:-D
  2. Hi Broke Dave Sorry to hound you for advice but in the reminder letter I send them rejecting their conditions again, should I tell them to take the money back after a certain time period if they still want to attach conditions to the settlement or should I just send them a letter reminding them of my first letter, I have electronic proof of Recorded delivery received.?? Does that make sense:???:
  3. Good morning, thanks for all the info, will be sending off a copy of my original 'rejection of Conditions' letter to them (Recorded delivery again), but a question please, Has anyone else had this letter after settlement, I can't find anything else on the forum?
  4. hi there I had my money paid into my account approx 10-12 days after I sent the letter. I would not accept their conditions and sent my reply to their offer back as such. the day after I received the money into my account I received another letter, saying that as I hadn't replied to their offer letter they would settle anyway but still they attached the conditions. Now I wonder where I stand if i spend the money do they assume I am accepting their conditions, which I said I'm not. any ideas?/
  5. Thanks for that info, but when can I start and use the money?
  6. Hi I have recieved my full amount claimed, I sent a letter rejecting their claims, it was sent recorded so i know they received it, but a day after I recieved the money SC&M sent me a letter to the effect that since I hadn't given them the courtesy of a reply to their offer letter (which I had rejecting conditions) they would put the money in my account on the basis that it was in full and final settlement, that I would agree to maintain my account within agreed limits and I would make an appointment with the bank to review my account. These were the conditions I did not agree to, but they have still given me the money and then in a letter receveived a day later, told me I am getting the money on those conditions, does any body have any ideas where you stand with regards to this situation???

  8. Can anyone advise please. I sent back my letter rejecting LTSB conditions that came with their offer, they got the letter on Monday but there is still no money put in my account, do you think if I ring them I might get somewhere. I did give a deadline for payment which runs out over the weekend.??? Any ideas?:?
  9. Hi wilks 77 Could I ask please, when you sent off your settlement letter did you stipulate a timeline for paying the money into your account?
  10. Got another question about these settlement offer letters. Can you cross out the conditions you don't want to accept but add a date onto their letter stipulating when you want the money paid into your account, or would you have to send a completely seperate letter. I don't want to be waiting 4 or 5 weeks for my money.
  11. Hi 4656craig Have you had any other related mail?
  12. I find the timescale of 4-5 weeks to pay money into an account very unbelieveable. Would they be paying the 5 weeks lost interest back into your account also. I have given them a very reasonable amount of time to settle, but we shall see. Thanks for the congrats but I will wait until the money is in my account before I open the Champagne!!
  13. Hi 4656craig I have also received a letter like this one, the next envelope I opened was also from them with an offer with conditions. Are you able to hang fire for a couple of days to see if you also get a second letter?
  14. Hi I sent off a letter stating that I'm not accepting their conditions and have given them a deadline for the money to be put back into my account. I just hope I haven't blown it, but I really don't see why I should accept any conditions.
  15. Hi ther I've been reading your thread as I seem to be in almost the same position as yourself, can I just ask, after you refused the condtions for settlement how long did you have to wait before the money was actually put back into your account? Oh and welldone.
  16. Not posted it yet, I'm rejecting all conditions, keep an I on this thread and I can let you know how it goes.
  17. Sorry forgot to ask if I do actually get the money how do you make a donation to the site?
  18. Can't figure out how to fax so I think it will have to be snail mail.
  19. Thanks for that, does it speed anything thing up if you ring before hand and say your not accepting their conditions or would I be whistling in the wind?
