Hi everyone,

I`m helping a friend claim back his charges from Lloyds.

We received back the statements a week or so ago and have totaled up some £4,108 in charges, some where over £500 a month, I don`t know how he got by.

The Interest calculated at 8% APR is some £1,111.01 (as of today). This will be added to the claim later.

Yesterday, the Preliminary Request For Payment was handed into the local branch of Lloyds TSB, and the 14 days are counting down.

Wish us look and keep fighting,

CIoa for now.

Neil.

Hi and Good luck with the claim, you will find all Lloyds contact addresses in a Sticky called Lloyds Tsb contact info, (sorry am useless with comps and dont no how to send links yet) the bank should send your letter on to the right place for you now, but it might be easier to send direct next time. Again good luck with claim.

Hi Mum Of 4,

Thanks for that, but I think I know what I`m doing so far.

I`ve had £750 back from Lloyds myself and have I`m also helping my girlfriend claim her charges back. Both of these case`s are being sent to the Financial Ombudsman as we don`t really have the spare cash at the moment to start Cour Claims, although that is still an option if need be.

This claim is for a friend of mine.

Anyway, thanks again for the message

Neil

  • 1 month later...

Hi people,

I haven`t done anything with this claim for a while as my friend seemed to give up after the Letter Before Action was ignored.

Anyway, last week he received a letter from Lloyds stating they are no longer dealing with any claims until the outcome of the PFT Trial etc etc.

The thing is, he would now like to continue with his claim, as it is now over £5200 including interest.

Is it still worth while putting in a claim? Are the Courts still dealing with claims? I`m thinking if the bank refuses to deal with claims and don`t bother turning up at Court or even defending then people would win by default. Is this the case?

Which would be the best route to take? A local Court or Money Claim Online?

I would appreciate any help and advice as the best route to take.

I look forward to hearing from you all on this.

Regards
