Hi all,

This is my first post so please forgive me if i am not completely up to speed! I intend to claim back charges incurred on natwest visa and m/c as a trial run for the big one, the current account! Is the procedure the same for both credit card and bank accounts and is this the right way to do it, or should i do all 3 at once?? Also, does anybody know the address to request a sar? Is it the usual natwest address?

any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanx nattie, is that a yes to do all three at once?

am i right in thinking i can request details about all of my natwest accounts using one sar? and once data is recieved is there a deadline for me to compile my claim? i only ask because me and paperwork do not work well together and i am trying to get as organised as possible before i start!!

The SAR covers all three, you may as well get the info sooner rather than later as every day the period of six years you can request shifts forward. It's up to you whether you do a smaller claim first, I can certainly see the appeal.

The only difference with credit card is that they might try the old the OFT said £12 is ok, which is definately not what the office of fair trading said. Nattie is v helpful but the main thing to do is read around here that is where the majority of us learnt.

The views I express here are mere speculation based on my experience. I am not qualified nor insured to give legal advice and any action you take will be at your own risk.

You could do all three at once........... or do them individually, depends what you feel comfortable with really. You can request all your details in the one SAR (although someone will correct me if i'm wrong!). I don't think there's a deadline between receiving the info and compiling the claim - we normally just say stick to your own timetables (e.g., give them 40 days to supply the info, give them 14 days to answer the prelim, etc). If you get stuck, give us all a shout - we aim to support and please!!!!

Good luck! Hedgey :D

Think the site's suffering a little from all the new activity after last night's Whistleblower mate!!! Which can only be a good thing (but not for the banks!!!!!!!!!!) :D

Goold old fair play is all we want. Not to be taken advantage of simply because we look up and respect these institutions, and believe that their actions are law. Nothing more. But all now know they are not, and can be challenged. Yippee for the pioneers who started it. All the best. Fendy xxx
