Hi all,

Just to let you all know i'm claiming a far amount of charges back from my Natwest Current account.

I got all my statements as planned and tallied up all charges, including the interest for them.

I then sent two preliminary letters, one to my small local Branch, the other to the address on the 2nd Floor Business House B. Both letters were sent over 3 weeks ago, but unfortunatley I forgot to put the date on each letter...couldn't believe it when I realised! I was wondering whether they would disregard them because they are not dated and for that reason not so 'official'.

I'm now trying to decide whether to send the LBA (Letter Before Action) letters to the branches or resend the 1st prelim letters with a date on and start again!? Help!!

Also, I recieved another address from someone on here, so not sure where best to send my letters to for speed and a quick decision.

He gave me this one:

Natwest Bank

Customer Relations Unit

225 Shenley Road,

Borehamwood,

WD6 1TE

Any help would be much appreciated!

I'll keep you all posted after I send next one!

Matt

I am a lot further down the road than you with regards to claiming, but send all the letters to the address you have above, you should get a reply back from Stuart Higley he is normally the guy that deals with this at your stage. On the reply there should be a date, either go from that one or send another copy of the letter with a date on it. Don't get too hung up about it yet? Are you going back the full six years? Good Luck with your claim its all in the papers today so they are all getting what they deserve!!

Just a quickie, even though you missed the dates off your letters, did you send them recorded delivery, because if you did and you kept the slips you could use these together with the letters to prove when they were sent and received. If you just sent them first class then you dont have proof when they were signed for unfortunately.

As you are new i will be less harsh, but you need to read and read and read again on this site which i am sure you have. The advice is always changing and the first part of sending things is always one where you should read around the latest news which sometimes is changing as to where to send things. If you want to send another LBA, then send 1 but with a 7 day response time.

Sent the new letters.

Day after I sent them off, got a reply from the first one I sent.

Offering me an 80% settlement, which worked out as the fines back, minus the interest. So I took it. Will let you know when/if i get the money!!

Making progress!!!
