sorry to make a new post in here but i'm at the stage of 1st prelim letter of asking for it back & have had a reply saying i've to wait 4 weeks (which i won't!) and my bank charges tally up to £249.00. I don't understand how to work out the interest to add on to it or the spreadsheets because I'm not very good at all with numbers. I wondered if anyone could help me. I've tried using the spreadsheets and it's just not working for me:confused:

Dont worry, the spreadsheet does it all for you - all you have to do is put in the figures you know. EG the date of the charge and the amount. The interest should then be worked out for you.

under the in respect of heading just put exactly what it says on your statement - eg - charges as notified.

Amount - the amount they charged you

date incurred - the date on the statement that the money was taken out.

Leave everything else and go to the next line.

Any Joy?

Are you using the spread sheets recommended on here.

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/182-6-interest-calculation-spreadsheets.html

Use the simple version.

At the moment you dont need to worry about the interest.
