Sent out a c.c.a. request 5/01/07 to DCA(Credit Solutions) who I have been paying One Pound a month as a Token Payment for past two years for a Barclaycard Debt, they responded today with my cheque enclosed for the c.c.a...

"Account Closed with CSL, Please refer to Client"

does this mean they have not complied with my request..

It probably means that they did not have the original agreement, have bottled it cos you challenged them and hey have sent to debt back to B'card.

So no they have not complied with your request.

Spotnot v MBNA and their nasty solicitors (on behalf of my friend)

You may be a little early for a default. If it was sent on 5/1/07, then they probably won't default until Wednesday. Did you send it recorded delivery ? If so, you can track when it was signed for. Count 12 working days from the date of signature.

If you are prepared to wait a further calendar month before writing your letter, they will have also committed a criminal offence by not supplying the CCA on request.... ;) , which will make them less inclined to bring the matter to court, should they "find" it.

  • 1 year later...

Hi,

So I sent my monthly cheque off as normal to CSL and it has been returned with a compliment slip saying:

'Account Closed with CSL. Please refer to client'

I am unsure what this means but the circumstance is different to that above
