Hi, I want to start the process against Halifax after recover fees from MBNA and HSBC.

However as I have 2 bank accounts, a savings and a mortage with Halifax I'm a little worryed abuot the possable concequences.

I'm not too bothered about the bank accounts as there pritty easy to get decent ones now. But loosing the mortage or notbeing able to get one of there nice deals at the end of the year would be a pain.

Soo, I guess my question is has halifax any history of closing accounts etc etc?

Thanks

Dan

Well, sketchy really. They do threaten to close accounts if you claim on the basis that you are not looking after it, or you are not agreeing to the terms and conditions.

I doubt that they would take your mortgage away from you just because you reclaimed your charges on the current account, I don't think that the departments there have that much contact, besides that would be discriminating against your rights?

Hi - just to say I successfully claimed against Halifax, for the full amount, and the only thing mentioned to me was that they do reserve the right to close the account should it not be run correctly in future --- i guess we'll all have to be good girls and boys!!!!!!!

Good luck!

Halifax - £2281, successfully refunded all charges after LBA letter & telephone call.

Have been offered the difference between the £20 and £12 charges from Capital One -- am sending LBA for remainder.

GE Money - Received settlement of £441, being total charges requested. No interest though.

CCA'd Bank of Scotland / Blair Oliver Scott to produce CCA Agreements on two Credit Cards - well in default, although still chasing payment!!!

EOS Solutions "ceased action on account" on behalf of a friend.

All in all, quite busy at the moment and enjoying every minute of it
