I'm completely confused and worried as these solicitors have sent me a letter for an Adidas order which was £900 and it was mostly returned, 5/7 items were returned due to sizing issues.

They have stated I have 14 days to pay and that my items were not actually returned to the retails.

This does not make any sense, I had done various orders and returns with them before and never had this.

I have confirmed with adidas themselves that the items had reached their warehouse and have confirmation emails stating this too.

The figure of 1600 is out of the blue, they must have taken my previous returns into account or something?

What really worries me is that people have stated in other areas of the web that they have sent bailiffs or threatened this multiple times, I'm young and live with my parents so that wouldn't be good for something I didn't do any wrong with.

My idea is to gather everything I have as evidence and send this directly to dwf, Is this the right thing to do?

Hello, welcome to CAG.

Please slow down a little bit on this and let the forum regulars look at your DWF situation before you start replying. I agree with you, it does sound odd.

Are you able to post up an anonymised copy of their letter please? Make sure to take out your name and address to keep this anonymous.

Best, HB

As you'll see there are lots of threads already here on these Adidas DWF letters.

Simply ignore them

As for reading the net, don't. They can't send anyone round nor do anything, esp not bailiffs!!

It's just a current scam DWF are trying on

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Thanks for your reply.

Are you sure they cannot send any one around for the collection of these funds?

Also, would it be wise to atleast email / mail them evidence of everything to attempt to close the case?

Its the exact same letter as others have posted, word for word but with my details and amount.

Ignore them totally.

Of course they can't send anyone around, where did you get that idea from??

A debt collector DCA is NOT A BAILIFF and have ZERO legal powers on any debt no matter what it's type.

Whilst I'm at it, let's blow another widely touted misconception out the water too... BAILIFFS..

even if these scammers did get you in court and you lost and you failed to pay within 30 days and they returned to court to ASK the judge to send BAILIFFS and he agreed..  there is no right of forced entry on consumer related 'debts' = they are in all intent powerless if you simply ignore them.

Stop watching a certain channel 5 show . Those are business or private landlord debts .

99% of what you read on the net is fake and put there by the very people that are now trying to scam you or by stupid idiots that don't understand properly...we call them DCA mugs . Don't be one yourself
