Hello,

Advice would be appreciated before I take any action.

I sold an antique figure on ebay at the beginning of April for £450 plus postage (Royal mail special delivery).

It was quite large and heavy.

I took photos before packing it up carefully in 2 large boxes, lots of bubble wrap and protective wadding.

I took it to my local postal sorting office, (postage bought online) and confirmed I had insurance up to £500 and I took a photo of the box (as advised by the post office guy).

It arrived the next day and when opened the head was broken.

The buyer sent me photos - I duly filled in a claim form, sent photos and the tracking number, even a proper valuation of the figure etc.

So far all I've had is a refund for the postage and a letter saying that's all they're prepared to do.

I really need to know what to do next - HELP!!!
