xlmoto.co.uk via paypal. - returned item but no refund issued.

Recommended Posts

Hello I bought some items off xlmoto.co.uk via paypal.

When the item was received parts were missing so i opened up a case with paypal. In the comments of the case i was advised by the seller to click a link and print a pre paid shipping label and return it with this. I did this and the seller has received the item however has not refunded me my money.

I escalated the case to paypal to investigate and they want me to return the item (it has already been returned) to a completely different address to the one on the shipping label they provided which i had already returned it to. Paypal are now saying because I returned it to a different address they will not refund my money despite lots of evidence of the seller requesting it to be sent their and receiving it.

I have contacted my debit card company who have said cos i have paid by paypal they cant help..

It is at this point i would have opened up a claim against the seller in the small claims court however to my horror i have found it is not a uk based company despite the website ending in .co.uk and actually based in somewhere in Europe. It is therefore not even registered with companies house.

The only option I can see that I have left is taking my case against paypal to the financial ombudsman however im not sure if this is even possible considering the details of the case.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

That name rings a bell

seem to recall they pull some sort of excuse that their debit card is gov't by matercard and they don't allow charge backs which is of couse bs.

pretty sure mastercard have recently been fined £'ms for unfair customer care or something

I'll look later

Thank you for your help.

I called the bank up again and spoke to someone else who then started the proceedings for a charge back.

Thank you for your help as I'd been at a loss what to do.

I really appreciate it
