Hi,

i need some advise.

I had two debts with arrow global which was being managed by Reston’s Solicitors and a payment plan for each was set up with Reston’s which I had been keeping up with.

Suddenly Arrow Global wrote to me and said that Reston’s was no longer instructed to look after the account and it had been transferred to Drydens Fairfax.

seemed to be all okay, and the same payment plan was listed on Drydens website and I paid the next instalment to them in May before it was due and the same for June’s payment.

Drydens website shows both payments made on both accounts and my bank account had the funds deducted.

today I get two letters (one for each account) saying our records show I have failed to make a payment to us directly or contact us to discuss the matter.

strange considering no payments were missed and their website even states next payment due in July!

it says if I don’t respond by the 19th July they have no alternative but to commence further action!

even more interesting is the balance owed is correct - it’s the balance after both May and June’s payment have been deducted.

for the record April and earlier payments all went to Reston’s.

how do I respond to this?

i have an up to date payment plan and they are threatening me with further action with isn’t fair

Ring them and ask what payments are missing ?

Drydens Fairfax were definitely taking it from May ?  not April ?

why are you/have you been blindly paying a no powers DCA for debts via solicitors when neither of them have ANY legal powers at all to demand money off you?

they are NOT BAILIFFS.

tell us about the original debts

the original creditor was:

type of credit

when you took it out

outstanding balance

defaulted date from your credit file

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Ive been paying manually over the Internet . April’s payment went to Reston’s and Drydens from May.

I don’t want to set up a card payment with them or a direct debit as I am in control this way
