Over the top my friends

Onwards to the end

We'll never stop

Till we reach that hilltop

We cannot loose

In this life we choose

We all fight

For what we think right

And at all cost

Never consider us lost

remember how we served

And the tragedies we observed

I have never seen the 1st world war fields although it something I've always wanted to

Grandad was a Lancastria survivor from the second world war. It was a war secret and still is so he never once talked about it. However after he died we found a teaspoon from the lancastria in his souvenir box (along with other items)

We are always imensly proud of him still keep his medals. We just wish he was still with us
