Hi all, am in a pickle and would love to hear any advice

I've had back the usual fiche letter and statements, but this was back in september, i've been waiting to find out whats happening.

I've not heard anything from the bank, and obviously their 40days are up, so do issue a non-compliance for the DP act to them ?

thanks!

righto, finally an update for y'all! after receiving a second letter from bc with basically the same info on as the first letter re: microfiche, I complained to the ICO (early dec 06) about them. I got a reply today with a case no from the ICO, so I feel I am getting somewhere now. I started with this in september last year. It's a long time.

Is there anything I can do in the meantime before waiting for the ICO? I'd really appreciate anyones advice :-)

hi, I have read this before, but wasn't too clear on what I could do with it. This statement stands out for me "In addition, section 13 of the Act gives individuals the right to claim compensation if they have suffered damage as a result of a contravention of the Act."

In what cases would compensation apply? in my opinion they have blatantly contravened the act with me.
