Look for mortgage with partner

Hi,

 

My partner already has a mortgage and a well paid job and are lookin to get a house together but my credit

is poor, what are the chances of us getting one together or am i like to get knock back. i'm in full time work earning over £20,000?

If your partners income meets the current mortgage criteria of their provider,

 

they should approach their current lender and either see what they will offer or see if their current mortgage is portable to a new property.

 

A joint application could prove problematic if you have poor credit, it will reflect on you both in any application

Hi, for what reason is your credit "poor"?

Have you checked your credit files recently?

Is there anything on file that can be challenged?

thanks, my score is poor from being stupid in my younger days.. yeah i've started checking my credit score on-line all seems to be correct, i'm trying to make sure i keep everything in order now.

 

Don't think i joint application is going work for us.
