Hi Sparks,

You follow the rules of the country you are in with regards to TV licence

If you are in the UK then you should have a licence to receive UK live broadcasts. AFAIK this will then cover you for all broadcasts even over the 'net'

Maybe someone with more knowledge will be along to confirm

Hi,

AFAIK you will need a TV licence in order to RECEIVE LIVE broadcasts using any medium whilst within the confines of the UK from ANYWHERE (including ET TV)

This is from TVL:

To use any TV equipment to watch or record TV programmes as they are being shown on television.

This includes watching or recording streamed services and satellite TV broadcast from outside the UK. If you only watch on-demand services, then you don't need a licence.

There are ways around it, but if you want to follow the rules,. gerson is spot on. It's one big con, but if you arent careful, you will be liable for heft fines.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

If my advice helps you, click the star icon at the bottom of my post and feel free to say thanks
