Hi , can anyone tell me how far back can I go to claim on bank /overdraft charges.

I was having a clear out when I came across an old suitcase with all my old bank statements inside. Immaculate condition and in their green plastic statement holders.

I have nearly every bank statement since 1988 to 1994, bar 5 of them.

Unfortunately the reclaiming of bank charges on current accounts is a non starter these days following the Supreme Court ruling which found in favour of the banks.

Charges on loans and credit cards are still up for grabs though.

Hi , If I can proof that I have paid the same overdraft twice , can SAR go back all those years to give me the evidence I need?

In other words , all my transactions with the bank , payments etc and payments from an asset account?

Hi , I deleted my last post here as I waffled on so much and I think I should NOT have. Sorry!

citizenB has kindly directed me to what I was more or less trying to convey here in this link:
