last year in October i had a total loss on a vehicle due to fire

26 weeks and 1 day later or 183 days have passed and nothing of a offer of pay out

Having sent in to them all the documents and key to vehicle i have had to SORN the vehicle as got a last chance reminder from the DVLA

Just proves how professorial Hastings direct are not

I wonder what they would of done had i not paid my premium send it on to a debt collector?

They have had the whole premium there is no excuses

They are now in receipt of my letter before action sent recorded delivery

Just a warning to all that Hastings direct are not good when it comes to settling a claim

If i have helped in any way hit my star.

any advice given is based on experience and learnt from this site :-)

we have a hastings forum and a hastings rep here IHB

I can move this if you wish?

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Thank you for your interest

i was posting to show how hastings are bad at paying out

Hastings are in receipt of my letter before action i do intend to carry out with the court process should they fail to comply

It has now gone on too long ,I feel should you get involved at this point lessons will never be learnt

It is about time Hastings (as well as others) Focus on what should be behind there business the customer
