Then Gaslight you into thinking your the problem and call you an idiot for buying a used car instead of a new one. Buyers beware this thread is vitally important

    • Hello,

On 15/1/24 booked appointment with Big Motoring World (BMW) to view a mini on 17/1/24 at 8pm at their Enfield dealership.

Car was dirty and test drive was two circuits of roundabout on entry to the showroom.  Was p/x my car and rushed by sales exec and a manager into buying the mini and a 3yr warranty that night, sale all wrapped up by 10pm.  They strongly advised me taking warranty out on car that age (2017) and confirmed it was honoured at over 500 UK registered garages.

The next day, 18/1/24 noticed amber engine warning light on dashboard , immediately phoned BMW aftercare team to ask for it to be investigated asap at nearest garage to me. After 15 mins on hold was told only their 5 service centres across the UK can deal with car issues with earliest date for inspection in March ! Said I’m not happy with that given what sales team advised or driving car. Told an amber warning light only advisory so to drive with caution and call back when light goes red.

I’m not happy to do this, drive the car or with the after care experience (a sign of further stresses to come) so want a refund and to return the car asap.

Please can you advise what I need to do today to get this done.

      Many thanks

    • We have finally managed to obtain the transcript of this case.

The judge's reasoning is very useful and will certainly be helpful in any other cases relating to third-party rights where the customer has contracted with the courier company by using a broker.
This is generally speaking the problem with using PackLink who are domiciled in Spain and very conveniently out of reach of the British justice system.

Frankly I don't think that is any accident.

One of the points that the judge made was that the customers contract with the broker specifically refers to the courier – and it is clear that the courier knows that they are acting for a third party. There is no need to name the third party. They just have to be recognisably part of a class of person – such as a sender or a recipient of the parcel.

Please note that a recent case against UPS failed on exactly the same issue with the judge held that the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 did not apply.

We will be getting that transcript very soon. We will look at it and we will understand how the judge made such catastrophic mistakes. It was a very poor judgement.
We will be recommending that people do include this adverse judgement in their bundle so that when they go to county court the judge will see both sides and see the arguments against this adverse judgement.
Also, we will be to demonstrate to the judge that we are fair-minded and that we don't mind bringing everything to the attention of the judge even if it is against our own interests.
      This is good ethical practice.

It would be very nice if the parcel delivery companies – including EVRi – practised this kind of thing as well.

the hacking practice sessions ive only got a little way into but its showing things like form modification i.e. theres a drop down box for birth year that goes from 1940 - 2012 it shows you how to modify that so it will let you put in 1492 for example

it shows you how to find out which folders are banned from being searched by webrobots, play.com has alot for example

Yeah, but you know with Google and Samsung involved, it's gonna be a pretty successful product. The Chromebooks and Chromeboxs are now on sale.

The Chromebox could be THE "popular" product that people buy to plug into their TV. You can get netflix / iPlayer and other content in HD direct to the TV, and the actual product is nice and small.

sorry was brief was in middle of trying to crack the admin password on a test webpage, something ive still not managed to do

javascript runs some forms on websites, like dropdown boxes etc

sidejacking is taking the facebook (or other) session of someone you might not know over a wifi connection without ever getting the password, (tho ive found some good ways to get it)

electrics biz was just repairing but its died a little now

blimey.

never have been a fan of using wifi in cafes or pubs.

i wouldnt recommend it

its a very small program on an android phone, just connect up to the network yourself, run the program and see what it finds

the reason ive said there may be a way to get passwords is it lets you into their email accounts as well, they dont know your in there and it would be easy enough to request password resets for websites and then receave these in other peoples email.

worrying thing is you might be able to receave paypal etc reminders that way and if your already in their facebook you have most of the personal details for the security questions

i had a friend allow me to do it on my own network connection, and from experiance in mcdonalds you can get the information to do it over their wifi (deleted unused - im not that mad)

oh and the new wifi hacking using wps took 2.5 hours to do my own router, dispite me turning wps off at the router

makes me wonder more if you could crack a shop network

then either use a packet intercepter to obtain transaction information

or alternatly use packet injection to create non-existant transactions e.g. delivery orders

may be one to try and get a test system setup on

One would hope that a shop would not connect their chip n pin / POS equipment through the same network as their "free wifi"...

However, hope in one hand and poo in the other... I know which one will get full 1st :p

it would probably depend on the shop

just been playing with a test wifi router, had a desktop uploading a file to the internet

had a laptop running a third party o/s (backtrack) which used the packets to intercept and rebuild the files

didnt get all the info in the end but its mostly readable

i know one shop near me does use wireless tills and card machines, dont worry i wouldnt do anything like this in the real world its theoretical and own machine practices

however i would also point out card info would be encrypted

on the other side of things i watched a you tube video of bump keying, worked easly i can see how the police are having issues with it theres no signs of forced entry, tried it on my own locks (not in a door ill admit) and it did work.

its been very intresting looking into these things, dont think they have a real use, least not one i would use, but its been intresting

  • 5 months later...

ok due to enforced time off

took up bump keying (I.e. opening a lock wigh the wrong key) 100% sucess back door opened with the front door key 45 seconds

front door opened with my parents key 25 seconds

looking at buying some master keys found some for lockers code starting cc fire department keys, waterways keys, etc then thouht ive found a way to open locks wih the wrong keys who needs masters

brought a radar key tho

worrying thing is the biggest supplier of bump keys, master keys and lock picks and pick guns appears to be amazon who would have thought it

Well I have Norton, and I have facebook scan, it continually scans my wall and it's posts, it said there was a possible threat of "likehacking", so warned me to not click on it - I'm still none the wiser as to what it is
