I may find it difficult enough to do that though to be honest as im on a dmp this couple of years paying things back and santander is probably the only bank i can bank with at present unfortunately.

I work in a solicitors office though so am thinking of sending a solicitors letter to them.

I work with solicitor and really want to seek his advice but im slightly embarrassed to tell him that i ever got one of these payday loans in the first place and to even let him know a hint of my dire financial situation.

That probably sounds stupid to you all but its only been that reason that has stopped me asking him so far.

I can understand why you don't want work to know about it, a different Pdl once called work and spoke with HR attempting to reroute my salary, needless to say the conversation that followed between me and my manager was mor than awkward.

Ok, after speaking with the solicitor he suggested raising a complaint with Barclays. I have done this and they will be refunding my £185 within 24 hours, blocking my card and sending a new one as well as investigating the unauthorised payments. For the guys/girls that this has happened to as well, call your bank's complaints department and crack some skulls.

This is just my advice, but i would leave barclays and find another bank. THe issues you have had, coupled with their illegal/unlawful business practices in the national media lately would keep me well away from them.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

If my advice helps you, click the star icon at the bottom of my post and feel free to say thanks

Its the same for me. Though im panicking a bit about the money part as well now.

It may only be £85 but as i said earlier in the thread its like a million pound to me at this minute in time with all im trying to juggle about.

The more i think about it the more furious i am.

Santander said it takes 48 working hours so would be tuesday before the refund shows in my account.

Did they tell you the same or has your refund shown yet?

Mine was showing on my account friday they told me 48 hours . I am presuming working days so hoping it is returned tomorrow.

Ccm denied all knowledge when i phoned them

CCM did deny all knowledge a few days ago. It was only when i called them today the lady i spoke to said she knew nothing about it either.

After reading on here that someone spoke to David i said i have been made aware this has happened to a few people and david in your office seems to know about it.

She then came back and said it was them and if i wanted a refund i would have to put it in writing. I asked why they had done this and it was fraud etc etc and she didnt seem to be annoyed in the slightest.

Mine was also showing on my account on Friday morning. They too told me 48 hours and said it was working days so told me it should be back for Tuesday. We both must be the same so will be interesting to see if we both have it returned tomorrow.

I second that its been a lot less stressful to have a third person(s) giving this fresh eyes .

Attempting to be miss marple was starting to drive me nuts

Just spoken to santander and they have told me that they cannot do anything to raise a dispute for 15 days so they have told me to call back on the 18th ?????

He apologised for me being told 48 hours this is incorrect !!!

They also said that really they need proof that i have tried to deal with lasker direct - i have told them that there is no address or phone number for them. Other than the one i phoned that man on who told me to f*** off and he disn't give a f*** - i think its safe to say i have lost me money :-(

I am absolutely furious now at hearing that to be honest. I will be calling the bank now also and will be telling them i am not accepting it. I was also told 48 hours so that is not a mistake. I am not waiting 15 days i cannot afford to do so it isnt good enough.

Did you ask to speak to the complaints department.

Theoretically you have 13 month from the date of a transaction to report it as unauthorized and ask for a chargeback, however you also have to report it to the Bank without undue delay from the time you notice the transaction, unfortunately the law doesn't specify exactly how many days would count as undue delay, the bank could potentially try to argue that 14 days would qualify as such, so having evidence of complaints about them trying to stall your chargeback claim could very well be important later on.

I am just off the phone to santander. Spoke to a really nice man Graham in Glasgow.

Explained all to him and he went and spoke to that team and came back to say my refund will be in my account before 4.30 pm today. He did say however if it is not then they will call me first thing in morning. I said why would it not be though and he said it should be but its only if there is any delay they will call you.

Im hopeful now that they have said that but at the same time that last wee bit makes me fearful again. Il see what happens by 4 30 pm today.
