Have sent several PPI claims to FOS in September / October of last year and received correspondence saying it would be 12 months before hearing anything so I put it out of my head till then.

But I received the latest newsletter and saw the article about the 64k offer (well done ! ) and when I read the thread it said that he had put the claim in to the FOS in late Jan and had a reply in June; so of course I am now wondering what is happening with my claim ?

Can anyone give me an idea of actual timelines for FOS decisions for real claims rather than FOS estimates ..............

Thanks

Depends on their work load and how quickly a company

responds to the FOS enquiries.

HI - thanks for the quick reply - no I haven't chased at all - took them at their word that it would take that long; received a couple of holding letters - I will dig out the file tonight and perhaps do some chasing tomorrow.

Waiting to here from these in the hope that I will get enough to pay off my overdraft with the bank if need be and then I can go after the bank loan I had a few years ago - don;t want to do anything before in case they withdraw the facility ! I know they shouldn't .........................

Hi Brig - how are you hope you and the family are well :-)

My PPI complaint with Barclaycard went to FOS last September. I hadn't received any update letters since January this year, so just emailed them last week asking for an update. They told me that they had received all the information they needed from Barclays and were just waiting to allocate an assessor to my case. So I just keep my fngers crossed now for a positive outcome. Hopefully, your situation is the same.

Hello all

Have phoned and all the claims are in the process of things being looked at : further paperwork has been received from the various organisations. One appears to be ready to be assesed but is waitng to be allocated;

They said that one has been allocated to a specialist team as the underwriters were not members of ? at the time ............................does anyone have any idea what that means ? This one goes back to 1998 with a Debenhams Store card PPI.

I am not holding out much hope for any of them to be honest - my luck is not that good.....my partner and I sent oout exactly the same letter to MBNA - he got an immediate offer; I got refused !!

Thanks

the old store card saga rears its ugly head again!! Like many of us with store cards the response that the ppi we paid on them is not covered because of the type of credit licence and that the underwriters of the ppi policy shpould be approached , ,My Laura Ashley card falls under this, My understanding id that FOS are looking at a trial case against the underwriters of these policies to see if PPI can be recovered ths way,Sit back and think of England SIR as i fear we are in for a long wait for resolution ,,,,,,,,,,, if at all !
