How Much To Offer for FF? Post Success Stories too!

Hi All,

 

I was thinking how much do you usually offer for FF?

and what results do you usually achieve?

 

I managed to get down £1280 to £420 for FF once, I was pleased but not sure if it is a good result or not.

Also, what happens if the debt is a lot higher? 15k? 25k?

also, at what stage do you start offering the FF settlement?

and do you start very low and increase if needed? or you stick to your figures?

My OH has been on payment plans for sometime now and tbh was bored of paying £1.00 here, £5.00 there etc. So I wrote to all the OC's asking if they'd write the debt off as it would take almost 60 years to repay one of them at £1.00 per month etc... All 8 OC's wrote back refusing. So I offered them all between £10.00 and £20.00 as F&F settlement and pointed out that should this not e acceptable then the only alternative is to procveed with a DRO.

 

They all refused again. And dismissed the DRO comment.

 

Last week I posted off all of the DRO paperwork...
