Received my appeal papers 2 days ago.

Just wondered how long after that do they give you your appeal date?

Do they wait till nearer the actual date, or can I expect to get it in the next couple of weeks say?

I know I face a long wait until the actual appeal.

Oops, forgot to mention its about an ATOS assessment, and I'm on ESA at the moment.

Have you opted for a Paper or Oral hearing?

If it's Oral then you would have been given an estimate date with the Tribunal Service papers asking if you wanted a paper or oral.

Your best bet is to give the Tribunal Service a quick call and ask them.

I didn't get an actual date for 7 months. The tribunal was a month after that.

Benefits rules are complex, and although I do try to inform and support people, I may get it wrong because the rules apply to individual claimants and their particular circumstances.
