Wilkins,

Have not had any dealings with GE money, but yes all the claims I have submitted were against the bank rather than an agent.

If you do decide to go down the legal route, just make a post here asking for help and someone will be able to help you.

Personally, I have never had to go down the legal route, but would have had no hesitation in doing so had the need arisen.

My claims were all with barclays & Barclaycard. I did the calculations, sent off a letter stating want my money back. They updated me every 4 weeks saying we need more time. After 8 weeks I referred the case to FOS and on all but 1 of the claims, they caved in after FOS got involved. With the 1 other case, which has taken a year to get to an adjudicator with the FOS, barclays have now caved in and agreed to settle.

I know this is somewhat different to your circumstances, but don't give up. If all else fails, I suggest you go down the court route.
