Hi All

I'm new to the forum and need a little bit of help. To start action against Halifax do I need to send the 'Data Protection Act Request' letter before sending in the request for a refund of charges, seeing that I have all my statements for the last 5 years.

Regards

Hi

If you know of all the charges that you wish to claim for you just send the letter asking them for all the money back - no need to send the DPA letter as you have the info you need - you could however send it for the extra year so you have all the past 6 yrs charges as that is the limit that you can claim for.

Hope this helps

Have a good read around the forum, especially the FAQ section. Your answers to these questions and many many more have all been answered. It will take a little bit of time, but it well worth it

Best of luck
