Thats exactly why I have come here. My bank have given me nothing but trouble throughout my financial difficulty. If there is anyway I can stir up trouble, or use this to the advantage of the poor account holder and myself then YES YES YES, bring it on!!!!!

Thanks spiceskull very interesting reading. However, looking at that thread it seems that they only received some dd information relating to another customer. I have 6 years worth of bank statements!!!! This is a serious breach of DPA as it potentially (if i was that way inclined) would give me personal information, salary details, mortgate details etc etc etc!!!!! This is outrageous.

I sent my a letter before action to the Halifax. Last thursday I got their usual standard response stating that they had escalated my complaint to stage 2 of the complaints procedure and a senior customer services representative would be in touch to discuss yada yada yada. Surprise surprise I have heard nothing. However, they enclosed 6 years worth of bank statements with their letter which I was surprised about as for this particular account I had not requested them and nor had they made reference to the enclosure in the body of their letter.
