Thought I should post information about our claim against the Halifax.

 

This is how things have gone so far:

 

17th July - letter asking for statements sent.

9th August - Statements received and request for repayment letter sent (£3643)

11th August - Sorry, we'll get back to you etc letter received

25th August - Letter before action sent (claim increased to £3760 inc new charges)

26th August - Settlement offer received (£465). Rejection letter sent.

Just received a nice letter today after serving them with the claim. Usual blurb that they think the charges are legal etc but agreeing to pay £4893.43 within 5 working days :)

 

Donation will be made once the money arrives. Many thanks for the help - it has been invaluable.
