Wife has recieved a CCJ as in the judgement to repay loan to Nationwide. Shoosmiths were representing Nationwide.

Problem is we have a month to repay in full or she has the CCJ against our name and GOD knows what else. Time is limited and I need to act fast.

What are my options? Can we appeal to have the Court review our circumstances. We did something foolish in that we did not return the form to the County Court as we tried to negotiate privately with Nationwide but could't raise the money within the time agreed. So CCJ was reached in our absence.

If you agree that you owe the debt and do not intend to appeal the choices you have are:

1) Pay the full amount owed within 30 days and the CCJ will not be recorded on your credit file

2) Apply to the courts to pay in installments

All the info is in the following link
