BBC News - Octopus snatches coconut and runs

 

Incredible, if rather amusing, footage of newly discovered behaviour of what is arguably the most intelligent creature in our seas.

 

And if that wasn't gratifying enough, the BBC story that accompanies it even manages to use the correct plural of octopus... :D

I saw this yesterday and was very impressed. Many animals are overlooked I think by arrogant human beings who forget that they are in fact themselves a form of 'animal'. There are very intelligent creatures around, and they obviously have a lot more intelligence than the amoebas that live next door to me anyway :p
