Hi

I sent a letter (template was from Martin Lewis' website), a few years ago, with a cheque asking for my bank statements showing where my bank had charged me for going into an unplanned overdraft. The bank sent this back to me, but explained there was a court case going on and that my claim would remain on hold until the outcome.

However, further to this week's news about the banks winning the court case, I am unsure whether I am due any money back from my claim that is on hold? I also dont know how and when to chase my bank about this?

My friend sent a letter to her bank a few months ago claiming hardship and received her charges back within a few weeks. However, now this court case has gone through, can anyone advise me if I can still send a hardship letter. My other half is out of work, and we could really do with this money coming back to us to help out over Christmas

Any advice would be greatly appreciated x:)

Hi,

Your Bank will get back to you within 8 weeks, I'm lead to believe.

They'll give you some story about how you won't be getting any charges back.

Template letters are being prepared to send to your Bank so you can proceed with your claim, these should be available shortly.

Regards.

Scott.

Any advice I give is honest and in good faith.:)
