My bank charges I am claiming for add up to £1320.00, and this morning I received a letter from the bank offering me a "Goodwill Gesture"" pfft of £520 and asking me to sign a waiver for the remainder - ok Barclays, like that's going to happen! I have written back and told them I would accept this so-called good will ONLY as a partial settlement and that I would now pursue the full amount through the courts. Consequently, I have just done my moneyclaim application, so I guess the fun starts here!!

Hi Phill, Have you sent them the LBA letter as well giving them a final 14 days, i'm just curious because the offer usually comes after the preliminary letter? you need to send the LBA as well, so if it does go to court you have been seen to be trying to negotiate and that the court action was a last resort.
