  1. Xerses, did they withdraw their initial offer after you told them you would accept it as partial payment??
  2. Yes Chindley, I've followed the process all the way through, and their offer came as a result of the LBA, turnaround time 1 week after posting it, quite impressive really!
  3. My bank charges I am claiming for add up to £1320.00, and this morning I received a letter from the bank offering me a "Goodwill Gesture"" pfft of £520 and asking me to sign a waiver for the remainder - ok Barclays, like that's going to happen! I have written back and told them I would accept this so-called good will ONLY as a partial settlement and that I would now pursue the full amount through the courts. Consequently, I have just done my moneyclaim application, so I guess the fun starts here!!
  4. Yes AlleyCat, there was a leaflet in there, although it's completely useless (as you no doubt already know). I'm sure others have had EXACTLY the same response, so yes, I'll stick with the master plan!!!
  5. Guys, this is Definitive, I have spoken to the gentleman concerned and have received correspondence from him: He advises that ALL correspondence regarding internal complaints has been passed to him (who will no doubt delegate cases to account managers), but he's the guy at the top. 6. Well guys, I have received a reply from Barclays (Mike Brophy - Head of Customer Relations) - within a week of my letter, stating that he will deal with my claim thoroughly etc etc etc, and he will get back to me by 14th August blah blah blah... When my original 2 week deadline is up, I guess I'll just carry on with the process as if I hadn't received a reply at all.......unless some-one can advise otherwise???? Cheers for now....
  7. Just one question.......Have u also had built in to your agreement a clause which prohibits the bank from applying unfair charges in the future??
  8. Michael, thanks for your reply. I have done as you suggested and am now comfortable with the process (I think) and today have sent off my initial letter (as suggested from this forum) and breakdown of charges I want reimbursed. So, watch this space........................................
  9. Hi there, I've just received my last 6 years worth of bank statements and am about to go through them to pick out relevant charges. When I have done that - what should I do next? I want to get it right!! Thanks.
