tandori chicken, fresh from Halogen now, here's how i did it

 

night before,

 

marinated in plain Yougurt, 2 cloves crushed Garlic 3 large teaspoons of Tandori mix powder, skinned chicken cut in pieces to size, cross score chicken flesh, leave overnight in fridge covered in cling film/plastic bag

 

in halogen high rack 20 mins @ 150c turn over pieces and again for 20 mins @ 150c approx

 

serving suggestion

 

plain yougurt, squeeze juice from cucumber and discard, chop remaining and add to yougurt, juice from half a lemon and fresh diced mint

 

salad etc to suit

never know this might turn into a Halogen Recipe thread ;)

 

we bought 1 few months back and so did 2 friends, who are also caggers, the one that JML sell, have to say very pleased, and been swaping photo's of what we have cooked,

 

2 recent examples, done by a mate who had never done any cooking before

OMG - just seen this thread, but if that is real chicken skin, I'm off out to buy one tomorrow! :grin:

yes that real, first time he had done a chicken

 

and the pork joint also

 

fivenecks and shebadog have posted some of the things they have cooked

 

and a few me and the wife did in and ours

 

and not forgetting Bookies yummy chicken tonight

..

did you get the stainless steel extender , which is good for a stand for the lid when not using it on the cooker

 

and makes the oven about 4 ltr's larger

No, it just came with the 2 rings, the one you see and one on feet. Gimme a chance to see how the thing works before I go and rush to buy accessories! :razz:

no problem bookie lots of deals around on the extra bits anyway on the internet

 

just a little word of caution the underside of the lid gets very hot be carefull when putting it down so that the metal plate inside the lid cannot come in contact with anything

..
