Cobbetts have filed a defence and so I cannot continue with the claim online. Nothing recieved in the post as yet.

And there was I hoping that I had slipped under their radar and would win by default. Ah well, I might recieve my first letter from Mr Higley in the next few days. I predict a letter from Cobbetts detailing their embarrasment at my lack of particulars, and I also predict an offer of half the amount to arrive soon after:grin:

Cheers!

Hi Madge,

How are things going?

You replied to my threads quite a bit and I've just found your thread so thought I'd give you some support back!

I received my cheque on Monday for full amount so am sure you'll be getting yours in next few weeks.:)

After putting in my AQ it was about 2 and a bit weeks til receiving my cheque so fingers crossed!

Hi,

My AQ is due in court tomorrow and so I am just finishing it off tonight - nothing like leaving it to the last minute! I have had very little correspondence from Cobbets and nothing from the bank which seems a little worring. I wonder if I am the one that makes it to court?

Well done with your claim! Congratulations - now don't spend it all at once hee-hee!

I'm alive again....just.

Thought you would have received something by now Ally. Must be the default thing that is delaying the inevitable.

Madge. It looks like Cobbetts / Natwest are going to busy sending out cheques just before the Christmas post rush. Pity on them. You could, or should get your dosh within the next 7 - 10 days

The AQ went back to the court on time as it was delivered by hand. In it I requested details of Nat West actual costs incurred in the box requesting additional information. I also enclosed a copy of the charges incurred. Meantime, Cobbetts sent through their CPR 18 thingy. They were sent the standard response. A copy has been sent to the Court along with the AQ. In the copy AQ sent to me from Cobbets they have requested that the case be struck out because I have not met their deadline with respect to CPR 18. I will wait to hear from the Court if they uphold this request and let you know the result. I am certainly not intimated and if this attempt fails then I will certainly try again! Thanks to all for your continued support!

The Judge will be in next week to review the paperwork and so I should hear something by then regarding Court dates. Cobbetts seemed to have changed tactics a little bit! Do you think we give away too much information on this site?? LOL

And here's to you Merry Christmas, Everybody's having fun....

Look to the future cos it's only just begun

Hi,

I just get the impression (and I might be wrong!!) that Cobbetts/Nat West are fighting a little harder than other threads suggest. It might just be me feeling a little unsure of myself!

No need to worry methinks.

Madge - I ve just thought they were one of the hardest to claim against anyway. Ive got nowhere to go with my case at the moemtn just waiting for a court date - so time for me to hassle the court today I thinks!!!

Did you get a court date? If you can find this thread http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/natwest-bank/13249-tracyno1-natwest-3.html there is a really good post in there from Karnevil about the putting together of the court bundle. Also a good thread anyway as this lady was taken almost to the end before she won.

Let me know what happened with your hassling!

Ally

Found your thread thank you! Have you had any offers made to you yet? I'm just wondering why some people have an offer made (just after the AQ) and others don't (me!). I've followed other threads with roughly similar values - and they have had letters and offers and allsorts. Me? Nothing! Not even a letter from Mr Higley! Am begining to develop a complex....

Yes I had an offer £1100 just afterthe AQ went it no mention of my default so It went back non thel east the fact Id forked out over £230 in court fees as well cheeky beggas!!!

Have youhad any letter from the cobbler muppets?

If so have a look at your letter at the part where Our ref is - tell me what the first three letters are.

My are LCB.

My theory is these are solictors intials and depending on who you gets depend of what is happening to your case!!!!

typical i wonder if there is way of collating this information so we can compare details on who deals with what and how they handled it?

May be worth looking at!

Are you volunteering? LOL

I wonder if we could have a separate thread? Cobbetts reference followed by a quick timeline of what happened when? Do you think a Moderator/ Site helper might help?
