I have recieved a letter from HL Legal saying thier client is to get Scotcall to visit me, thats not a problem, Ive moved house! :D

What interests me is that at the bottom of the letter it says 'All communications must be sent direct to Capquest Debt Recovery'. They (Capquest) have already had my special 'naff off' letter.

But who works for who or are they the same company trying it on? The debt is with Halifax but the letter is from HL Legal 'in association with Sampson & Co' yet they want me to reply to Capquest????????

Has anyone had dealing with the same lot please

Scotcall have appeared here before - try using the search function at the top of the page.

Before you criticise another man you should first walk a mile in his shoes. Then, when you criticise him, you'll be a mile away and he won't have any shoes on.

Don't get me confused with somebody knowledgeable by all those green blobs. I got most of them by making people laugh.

I had a couple of visits from a Scotcall "gentleman" about a year ago. He was sent round by Barclaycard's in -house paramilitary wing, Calder's also known as Mercers. My impression is that Scotcall specialise in home visits and tend to need a little education in good manners.

I should write and tell them that you do not grant permission for a visit and that all communication must be in writing.

If someone does turn up, please remember you are under absolutely no obligation to speak to them. Order him/her off your premises and call the police if they do not leave immediately.

In my case, I involved the police and a third threatened visit was averted. Since then they haven't bothered me at all.
