Capital One - reclaiming but still need a cc

Hi

 

I am in 2 minds on whether to reclaim charges:confused:.

 

I wish to reclaim charges Cap1 have applied to my card over the years.

 

I now make regular payments but this has not always been the case. I am currently within my limit, but only just.

 

I would like to keep my card for a rainy day - but afraid if I start the process of reclaiming charges, Cap1 will close my account:-(.

 

Is anyone aware if Cap1 are closing accounts???

Hello Columbo2000.

 

I'm not aware of them doing that. If you start a claim for charges, you are putting the account into dispute, so they shouldn't default you or try anything else underhand.

 

If anyone has experience to the contrary, please post.
