mM partner has a halifax current account, he went over his overdraft by £1.00 and now the bank have added nearly £100 in further charges and issued a default notice.

He has told them he cannot pay this amount at the moment.

What is the latest on bank charges? I know everything has been on hold.

He is going to threaten to take them to court if they continue to add these ridiculous charges. He intends to pay what he owes but not these fees.

Any advice and thoughts on halifax would be great, thank you.:D

Hiya

Sorry if i confused you, after you have sent your prelim giving them 14 days to reply and then lba giving them a further 14 days to reply, you then file your n1

in your local county court. You do not have to tell them you will be taking them to court they will find out soon enough ;)

Hi, geministar.

A LBA is a Letter Before Action, this is the last letter you send your Bank before taking them to court.

Here's the 'link'............
