I stupidly ignored 5 parking tickets for sometime eventually getting 2 letters from a DCA from Kent, warning that they had taken the debt over and I had to pay £90 for each ticket.

I woke one Saturday to find a Baliffs note from them demandind £1343 for these, this would go up to >£2000 later that day if I did not pay up and they had to come down again. They listed my shed and other items they would take if was not in.

Of course I panicked and payed up and thought that was the end of it, only to discover recently about the CAG and the possibility that this may have been excessive.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Apologies for the late reply I have been away,

The company was JBW

They left a breakdown:

£550 for the 5 tickets

£560 for the recovery

£330 for man power, travel

We paid via a debit card and two credit cards.

Thanks for your time

This was put through my catfalp at 7:30am on a Saturday with a note at the bottom that the return visit later that day would raise charges to £2100

A Subject Access Request is a legal request under the Data Protection Act for all information a company holds on you – here’s the link to the Subject Access Request letter and subsequent non-compliance letters :-

Jbw are well known for their scams like here :

£947.08 extortion by bailiffs for parking ticket in Wandsworth. Please help! - FightBack Forums=

Which eventually got resolved and jbw coughed up.

As you may not be aware jbw lost one of the cushiest contract in the uk which companies die for namely the city of westminister contract. This has put a big black hole in their finances from what i am guessing.

So whats cooking today ?

Could you also provide me the name of the Certificate Bailiff, and the date and court details where he gained his certificate, and confirmation that his certificate provides from him to work for your company.

Finally, I also require a copy of the Warrant of Execution.

Please find enclosed a cheque for £10.00 payable to (relevant bailiff company).Could you please confirm that this request has been received. I am enclosing a stamped addressed envelope for this purpose.

I look forward to receiving this information as soon as possible, but in any event, within the strict time limits imposed under the above Act.
