Hi all

This one follws on from the flexible working thread. I have decided to jump ship and look for a new job. My concern therefore is fairly obvious, will my new employer find out about my grievance and what would happen in relation to my reference.

Just to clarify I am about to go to second stage grievance (appeal).

Thanks

The safest reference for a company to give is a purely factual one - start date, end date job title.

With the exception of FSA requirements, a company that takes legal advice before giving a reference will be told to just stick to the above.

Your leaving their Company, why would they take the risk of giving a bad / untrue / libellous reference when they ahve nothing to gain?

Thanks guys that makes me feel better. I am not under any investigation and have never had any disiplinary action against me. My concern was just that my immediate line manager is an absolute witch and would do the dirty on me if she could, but the reference request will go to HR anyway, not her so I think I can relax.

Thanks again.
