debt and recommended bank account

my partner has bad credit (ran away from a debt some time ago) he currently has no bank account which can prove difficult.

 

Can anyone recommend a bank which does a basic bank account with NO credit check or possibility of being found (if this exists)?

literally want one for wages and bills no extra bits.

Hi you can have what is called a step account with any of the big banks (I have one with Halifax) this type of account gives you ability to have money paid directly into your account and you have a cash card to withdraw money. With my account I can if I wish have DD and standing orders paid out, But I tend to use the online facility as you can only payout the money in your account so no problems withunpaid DD and charges etc.

Hi don't know about the credit check but it is possible that you could already be linked to your partner with CRA through electrol register etc.

I to went with the Halifax no problems with them at all in opening a basic account with them. I do not have a very good credit record and also have a Default on my credit reference but they still gave me an account basic one like dpick

No matter how basic the account, I would imagine that as soon as it is opened, the details will be sent to a CRA as standard practice showing that Mr X of Y address opened an account.

 

There is nothing to stop his salary being paid into your account.

Basic accounts don't offer credit, so any of the basic accounts will not be traceable.

I think all bank accounts would probably link you to your address, but realistically, I think there is next to no chance that if someone trys to trace your OH they will be unable to anyway.

Within a few years, creditors will be able to apply for information from HMRC anyway.
