Well hello everyone,

As like many others, I drive.. But i'm immensley hacked off at the latest prices showing up on those brightly lit petrol station forecourts...

A petition to our Prime Minister has been setup on the governments petition website.

The petition is asking our govenment to re-calculate the VAT we pay on fuel based on the actual fuel price, not including the duty we pay.

This should reduce the price per litre by roughly 9 pence.

If you are a british citizen, even if you do not drive, do your part and sign this petition...

Have signed the petition, lets hope it helps getting the tax/vat charges etc lowered by the goverment, but knowing Gorden Brown, he will see pound signs to boast his coffers than help the already heavly drained driver. He predicted his currant charges/increases on the price of a barrel of oil at a lower price than the oil is at the moment, since the price of oil has rocketed this last month or so, this has earned the goverment millions every week in extra cash. This should now be passed onto the driver, but i'm not holding much hope.

Have signed. Always been surprised that a tax can actually be taxed. I bet there's an EU directive about it somewhere!

Beaten:

RBS: £4,500

AMEX: £4,200

Barclaycard Visa: £12,100

Barclaycard M/Card: £12,600

(Including the numerous DCAs they have set on me.)

PPI reclaims (into my bank account): £25,000
