Hi Hippy Chick.

As i understand it nurofen and paracetamol can be taken by the recommended dose ie: 1g of paracetamol and 400mg nurofen, together. It wont do any harm as ibroprufen has different ingredients than paracetamol. Hence ibroprufen to reduce the inflamation and paracetamol to kill the pain. Works pretty well together.

My stomach is proberbly buggered now anyway after everything iv'e taken today :o

Sounds ok then.

I've done it for other pain and suffered no adverse effects.

Yes, that sounds right. Not sure about aspirin, however. I'm pretty sure you can't take them together with paracatamol, dunno about with iboprufen.

Doc allowed me 8 co-codamol and 3 500G ibropohen in 24 hours (on prescription).

Agree the Clove Oil. Forget cotton wool though - use cotton buds (taste it a little less).

Is it a back top tooth?

If so, clove oil (stinks, but worth it, and you will need a lot - it will burn the skin off of the inside of your mouth, but you won't care), one bottle of scotch, new snub nosed pliers and a lock on the bathroom door.

oh..and something to stop the flow of blood - I used cotton wool, I don't recommend using that, it sticks there.

Took me four hours, but the pain stopped.
