What qualities do you need to ........(This way ladies and gentlemen)

become a Site Helper and or a Moderator on this forum ?

 

Excuse me for asking this question but I really would like to know the answer. As I have read the 'do you wan't to be a site helper' announcement, and although it is a very interesting post it does not list the qualities that are required !

I am sure that most SH and moderators try their best to help, but sadly for some in their eagerness to suck up and power gone to their head, they fail.

I do wonder when I see some members who appear harsh and post pointless posts, links, but no real help, cold and uncaring then suddenly become promoted!

 

Some have been, and still are great, but sadly not all.

All they can do is judge on your advice in posts and whether they like you.

 

I think the latter is rated higher though

Some are treated that way.

They quite often then become SH's and mods, and return the compliment

I raised an issue in a thread anabel, and to be honest it was more the users that were abusive towards me, but a couple of them are now Site Helpers so that was my point.

 

I think the established Mods & SHs do a good job, but some of the new

Site Helpers In Training are trying too hard and are being a bit OTT with their new power

OMG, that's the funniest unintentional acronym I've ever come across.

 

Seriously though, I can think of one individual who if ever they appeared as a Site Helper I'd begin to question the 'selection process'. To date, I have found all the existing Site Helpers supportive, helpful, nurturing, etc.
