  1. It's a pain isn't it?!?! As the saying goes "it's only easy if you know it" - if the subject was nature, animals, biology, food, music etc I'd storm through them, but if the subject was physics, maths, IT or even french as you've clearly seen, I'm hopeless
  2. You do make me laugh UKA I was once, and many moons ago - 27yrs ago to be precise, a biker chick! I made a few silly mistakes though in my time, one of which was to jump on my then boyfriends new motorbike with no shoes on, gaining myself a full sole blister, although I don't think I had much of a pain threshold back then, had it have been now, and I think I would have died with the pain The then boyfriend was a grave digger, which was quite funny considering people look at bikers as the devils spawn or grim reapers in disguise anyway I was part of a bike club in Cheshire, but please don't ask me to remember the name of it, too many years have gone by, and to be honest I walked around in a teenage trance most of the time back then lmaoo!! Most of my family have been into bikes, my Dad owned a Vincent 5000! I'm also very lucky were I live, because the riverside cafe, which is a local stop off point for all the bikers cruising through the dales, so I get to see some beautiful bikes, the only downside to that cafe is, it was once Jimmy Savilles favourite place to hang out too It was my dream to own my own bike, but sadly it never happened and I'm not in the health to get one now - besides, my OH is very much anti bike, in fact they are one of his fears, he cringes when he sees a bike opening up on the country lanes or motorways rofl! Oh, and one year I got to go to the Isle of Man when the TT races were on, as it's around my birthday, so I shared a catermaran with tons of bikers, and there's a road there that you're permitted to do any speed you want on too! Amazing, a bikers dream
  3. Getting my woodstock windchime in the post Sounds like an angel giggling!! Love it so much!!
  4. Well done Nystagmite!! Wow, be very proud! X Aww, congratulation Caro! Glad you had a lovely day/evening!
  5. Remind me to use the scroll bar at the side next time and not the arrows, it changed two of my answers that were correct Questions correct: 7 / 10 You took 165 seconds to complete this quiz. Total score: 535
  6. Apart from once being a "biker chick", I'm afraid I'm just plain old duckwaddler That is brilliant though UKA, were are you in the country?
  7. I can remember, and we managed just fine We went glamping the year before last and took no mobile phones or internet devices and it was bliss!!
  8. Omg, these subjects this past two days are my nightmare subjects Questions correct: 6 / 10 You took 148 seconds to complete this quiz. Total score: 452
  9. I like the idea of polishing it renegadeimp Thanks guys! And yes ims, it is a cracker! I am not really into machinery, all apart from motorbikes, but I found myself actually thinking it was gorgeous I think we'll probably get the experts to do it, as I've just about got sharpening my kitchen knives down to a fine art
  10. Hi guys, does anybody know how much it is to have the blade sharpened on petrol lawnmowers? My Oh has just got a Suffolk Punch petrol lawnmower, and absolute bargain too, it has only been used a couple of times, new condition, and even second hand these babies can go for a couple of hundred, they're £600+ to buy, so £55 was an absolute steal! Anyway, it's perfectly fine right now, we were just wondering when we need to have it done how much it would be roughly?
  11. Or texting whilst doing anything other than stopping and writing a text! I dread to think how the children of today are going to be taught real social interaction - most parents now always seem to have their phone in their hand either texting, instant messaging, facebooking, tweeting or playing games!
  12. And I mean their political parties (Took me forever to find this, where are all the fun threads? )
  13. Well done Janie! I looked on the top 50 scores today, and there are only four of us who've played, you're top, and I'm below you in second Looks like people don't want to play this one today
  14. Noooo, the shame!!! It was so hard, considering I can barely speak any french lmaooo!!! Questions correct: 5 / 10 You took 167 seconds to complete this quiz. Total score: 333
  15. Well I've not had any problems but thanks for the handy information about Ctrl-F5! Why is it I always think Determinator is site team
  16. Well I hope you get your exchange BC, because sometimes when you're not happy in a place you're living it can have a negative knock on effect in other aspects of your life, and I truly believe that! When you're happy in your home and area, it gives you a sense of calm in the mind - which once you have that it attracts positive energy into your life! I know it sounds like mumbo jumbo, but it actually does help. This recent weather really describes the UK, only the UK could have blazing sun, humidity, a fast onset of winds and pouring rain all in the space of a few hours Also, and I may have said this in a previous post - but Sunday roast dinners! I'm just about to put my roast potatoes in, chicken, with roast potatoes (done in goose fat, wrong I know but only on a sunday lol), carrots, green beans, roast onion, Yorkshire puds and home made gravy! Can't wait!
  17. Oh I know Termi, it poured down here non stop last night, and has been a fair bit cooler but sunny today, so my herbs are blooming!! The deal I got on a gorgeous new shed made me smile! Heavy duty, all tongue and groove, tongue and groove floor too, fully pressure treated so a 10yr guarantee, a lock with an alarm and fully fitted - for only £229!!! The same ones all over the internet are around £400 +, so an absolute bargain - their reviews are second to none too! We were looking for so long, and all we kept seeing were those "billyoh" ones that had terrible reviews, so unless we wanted to pay in excess of £400, we were going to end up with a flimsy box! It's being delivered and fitted on the 5th Ausust, and it can't come quick enough
