  2. Hi, Patricia. Think it took me about 12 weeks, that was my first claim. I believe they pay out a lot quicker when they realise you are serious about taking them to court. Like many others Bank of Scotland did all they could to delay the process, but in the long run, I got my money. I've just started a summary cause against them and it will be interesting to see when they pay up. Best wishes with your claim. Regards. Scott.

To my knowledge, very very few people have had to appear in court. I dont know how you will be claiming, I'm in Scotland and using small claims, all I can loose is my £39 court fee.   22. Hi, Go to forums scroll down to the Bank Templates Library click on Data Protection Act Subject Access Request Send the bank this letter with a Cheque for £10. The bank then have 40 days to send you all your banking history with them. You must take a bit of time to read up on your claim. Have a look in the Halifax forum, read a few posts and ask some questions. The more clued up you are the easier the whole process becomes. Don't worry, you will get your statements and you will (if you follow all the step-by-step guides) get your money. Regards. Scott.

  25. Hi Ida, I've just handed in my first Summary Cause. When you take your papers to the Sheriff Court, you will pay £39.00.They will then send the papers back to you with a Return Date and a Calling Date. You then have to take your papers to a Sheriff Officer's to get them to serve the summons for you, this cost me £15.97. The Court gives you a list of local Sheriff Officers, so it's not to much of a problem. Regards. Scott.
