  1. i have just tried to go through the reams of paperwork that bc have sent. i cannot see on there where and how they have placed on the ppi charges. i have managed to find two charges totalling £120.00 for late paymint (i think) but is there a code or anything that i need to look for?
  2. I'd like to claim back the ppi and any charges also have a good look at the default notice that they have given. my first step is to look at the ppi charges. i Iave a ream of paperwork that they have sent. Do I send this this to Barclaycard or CL Finince?
  3. Ok i've read the new oft version. Wow. I thought I was confused before! I am going to try and understand this and then move on ppi and charges. My understanding is this. Please advise if this is correct. If BC or whichever dca that BC have passed the account to, decide to take me to court and produce the application in post 77. I understand that it won't stand up even though it has a signuture but not the correct terms. The only time they need the actual agreement (in my case the application form) is if they take you to court over the debt. They can produce 'the terms and conditions' without a signiture and call it a true copy and this now puts the account not in dispute. They can now chase for payment but not take you to court. Am i right?
  4. Hi Everyone Recieved a letter this yesterday morning from BC. Just the t & c and that they have done everything with in section 78. They have also supplied me with a copy of the 'original executed agreement' prior to it being transferred to the recoveries department. the original executed agreement is completly different to the one they sent (which is shown in postt 77) and this one is not signed or dated. My questions are - 1, Is it worth waiting to see if BC go to court with this, and if they do what are my chances. 2, Would it better to offer a full and final offer. if so how much? 3, I have recieved reams of statments from BC for my SAR. I cannot see any section that states ppi. All help and advice greatlyfully appreciated as always. Regards Tosh1
  5. how long have you had the card and also have you ever been charged late fees?
  6. dont you have to have a signed form which states that you want ppi
  7. just an update and my thoughts i went to the doctor today and he advised that i am suffering from whiplash and gave me a prescription and neck excercises and will inform a specialist. i spoke to the police (collision department) who have not recieved the paperwork yet even though i reported it on Saturday (and today is Tuesday) the collision department is upstars from the police station that i reported it to. Anyway they will put Urgent on my file when they recieve it which means that i will recieve an update every 28 days! they have all the information, names, addresses, phone numbers, my insurance details, but nothing. i discovered that the car the driver was driving is insured but the driver is not. there is a possibilty that i can claim under that insurance as the owner of the car is responsible for the insuring that person is insured. i passed all this info to the police and insurers and tried to get them to comminicate with each other, again nothing. i have have worked it out. as long as you dont get caught it actully pays to drive without insurance. if you get caught don't worry too much whats the worst that could happen. its not as if the police are going to do anything, send a few letters then wait for a reply, if no reply after 6 months, pass it on to the beat officer. it costs me £25.00 a day in travel to work + all the hassle. The Vw that i had has been in the family since brand new. i got it off my sister in law who brought a passat from Vw. The area that i drove in where the accident occoured on known for cars that do not have insurance. I cannot afford another car at the moment. This is not funny. i'm really p***** off.
  8. the guy offered me £300.00 to get it fixed. told him where to go and also reported to the police. we will see what happens next.
  9. Hi On Tuesday evening around 7:30pm i was driving to visit my mum and stopped at a giveway. My car was at a standstill, while i let the traffic go by and see an opening. I heard a screaching sound, looked in the mirror.and was then hit from behind by a car that i believe was speeding. i got out of the car and told the driver that he must have been going at least 40 miles an hour. A pedestian who was walking past also had a go at the other driver and told him not to drive so fast because there are kids that play in the area. i am fully insured with £350.00 acccess. My car has over 200k on the clock. I paid around £800.00 early in January and know that my insurance will not pay me that much for it. the problem is that the other driver is not insured and does not want to go through the insurance but is willing to pay for the damage.
  10. ok. exams over and got only 68% which is a fail. 70% is a pass mark. will not give up though and work towards taking it again. thanks to all for the support. can anyone assist in how i would go about getting credit entry removed and also any template letters for requesting statements from cl finance. i also want to remove the £5.00 charge that they have made.
  11. i also need to open a business account. i am going to natwest foundation account and will let you know
  12. Just an update on this. i posted this today abnd am awaiting a reply. how long does it normally take?
  13. No the whole gearbox was not replaced. They opened it up and replaced a part and put it back together. They knew exactly what the problem was because all they do is gearbox's where ford dealers do not open gearbox's but just replace the whole unit
  14. hi Henno The ford mpv's were built by VW in the same factory as the VW Sharron and Seat Alhambra. This is because when the MPV craze started Ford did not have an MPV designed and ready. The Galaxy have a common fault with the gearbox and all ford would say when i took my car there was that it needed a new gearbox and would cost £3000.00. I took it to a specialist gearbox who knew straight away what the issue was and told me how common this fault is with this type of fords galaxy's. It cost me around £1500.00 to get it fixed. i have now part exchanged it and have vowed never to purchase a another ford.
  15. HI I use to have a loan with Tesco that ended in August 2007. I re-payed the whole amount and would like to re-claim my ppi back. I have drafed the letter and would appreciate any feedback on the letter below - My Name and address 10/09/10 Tesco Personal Finance Loan Unit 4th Floor George House 36 North Hanover Street Glasgow G1 2AD Dear Sir or Madam, Account number: ******** Sort Code: ******** I believe I have been mis-sold a payment protection insurance policy and would like to request a full refund of my premiums, plus interest paid. I took out a £5000.00 loan in 2002 and also bought a payment protection policy which cost me an extra £945.80 over the life of the loan. The total amount of my premiums plus 8% interest is £1495.38 When I took out the loan, I was told that my application would be refused if I did not also buy a PPI policy. The Financial Services Authority’s advice to consumers is that, while it does not breach FSA guidelines, a borrower should not be refused a loan if they choose not to buy an insurance policy. Yours faithfully,
