im thinking about trying to claim for it. i work 37.5 hours a week and i get around 220 quid a week after taxes and my wife is on SMP right now as she's 8 months pregnant. we didnt get working tax credits as our earning were too high, but operator said to claim for it again when the baby is born and that's in 4 weeks. do you think i got any chance for any of these benefits ? thanks in advance

If you go here:

Start Calculation

This will give you some idea of what you should be getting.

My opinion is, "if you don't ask, you don't get"

If you are asked to deal with any matter via private message, PLEASE report it.

Everything I say is opinion only. If you are unsure on any comment made, you should see a qualified solicitor

Your local council should have a benefit calculator on their website which will give a fairly accurate indication as to what you will receive.

From October Child benefit will be fully dsregarded when working out entitlement to housing and council tax benefit.

The advice I give in relation to benefits should be viewed as general advice and not specific to your individual claim circumstances. I cannot give specific advice on your claim as I cannot access the claim.

If you find the advice useful please click on my scales.
