Have just been reading a few more threads to get up to speed etc BUT:

Have just seen a note saying banks have to give 1 mnths notice before closing your account ......... we had our accounts closed without notice ....... the letters arrived on 24 Dec ......... huge problems for small business & personal banking etc.

Can I claim damages for their actions??

Have downloaded a complaint form from FOS but not sent it off.

Am already preparing a claim for charges [over £3K with interest etc !!!!!]

Thanx

Hi again.

I'm ploughing thru a stack of statements from Barclays and am coming up with items marked: A/C Control Fees with varying amounts in multiples of £12.00

Am I right in assuming that these can also be reclaimed?

Thanx

I'm going to stop you now!

Can you keep to one thread per claim, please? If you start a new thread every time you have a question, it is going to get mighty confusing for all very quickly! ;-)

Use this thread from now on to post your queries and updates, it will make life a lot easier for everyone, including yourself. :-)

Hi Chasr,

My claim which Barclays has just settled in full consisted mainly of Account Control Fees (where pay'ts were paid from the a/c in excess of agreed o/draft) and they were £12 then £20 each from 2001 onwards.

Good luck, Slick

We could do with some help from you
