I have reached another hurdle.

The court has requested I attend court for an allocation hearing with other cases as the court has received several cases that are similar with the same defendant. The idea of this is to give further directions prior to an individual court hearing. My problem is off the back of this letter, I have received a letter from Lloyds' Lawyers trying to justify their action on charges and this dispute is not one the bank wishes to continue. I have been requested to contact them by telephone to review my account. The review is to see if my current banking arrangements are the most appropriate for my needs.

Has anyone else received this type of letter and is this conversation to close my account?

If I call them should I request further conversations to be held via letter?

Why do they want to review your account now?

Reason is that they will probabaly try and get you to take out a loan-so my suggestion is to write to or phone your bank and politly refuse their offer and then continue with your claim against them.

Very true.

So rather than them repaying you the charges back they try and entice you into taking out a loan to clear your overdraft and resulting in you being saddled with additional debt.

Has all the hallmarks of sharp practice to me!

Thanks,

In relation to the court holding a joint allocation hearing for claimants with similar cases; do I have to submit a defense bundle yet? Is this a step to see if the case needs to go to court?

Yes a bundle is not required for this.
