Hey ukAviator.

Thank you for the tip! I had thought that I might have to get to my 100th post before ever receiving one (at the rate I'm going that won't take long)!

Seriously CAG is winning the competition between writing my dissertation and it. :D :D

Yes I am hooked. I've become a CAG addict. During my first two days on here, I developed bad headaches because I was taking in so much info

Needless to say the headaches have subsided and things are starting to make more sense now.

BTW can anyone show some love to my Cr*p One thread? http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/capital-one/97681-deedee1310-capital-one.html

I have sent them my prelim letter today. Problem with mine is that they have defaulted my account and obtained a CCJ against me. I sent them a CCA request last week.

Not sure if I'm proceeding correctly. Bryan Carter have stated that I have satisfied the debt for the judgement but I still "owe" their client £400 odd. Yeah right - my limit was for £200 but they charged me over £910 in penalties during the life of the card.

You do make me laugh Dee Dee but you need to work on your course lol

Thanks for all your help everyone is great.

One last thing befoer i start this dreadfull spread sheet do i go for contractual or 8% or just charges

I think the answer to that one is "What do you feel the most comfortable in claiming?"

If you go for 8% Statutory Interest, you cannot claim this until you get to the court stage. If you go for Contractual Interest, you can claim this from the outset.

I went for Contractual Interest at 34.9% which is the rate that they were charging me - the swines!

To quote Blind Date "The decision is yours" (Oops now I'm showing my age)!

I love you! You're thread has been making me laugh for the last couple of days. I went for Vampires Spreadsheet 16 because it was EASY to use.

I'm good at spreadsheets but all the other ones were giving me a headache! :!:

All you do is put in each item as follows

In Respect of Amount Date Incurred

overlimit fee £18.00 04/09/2001

The spreadsheet then works out the number of days since the offence and calculates the interest on the charge.

Yes I went for it too as it's more money! Lol!

I trust I have not confused you further?!!

It was - The Queen's! And I've just realised that you're confusing me too now! In my earlier post I gave you headings for a wrong spreadsheet.

This is how I filled mine out

1. Under Charge Reason put the detail of the charge e.g. overlimit fee, late payment fee

2. Under Charge Amount put the amount of the charge

3. Under Date - well that obvious "innit"

THE SPREADSHEET DOES THE REST.

All you need to decide is which interest rate to charge them.

a. The one they were charging you - ukAviator said it was 30.9%

OR

b. Their current rate for the Classic Visa Card which is 34.9%

I went for 34.9% - that'll teach 'em.

Yes you can do it! Go and have something to eat. I can't concentrate if I'm hungry - it gives me the attention span of a fruit fly.

Sadly, I'm going to sign off in about half an hour as I really have to get back to my work and I have an interview an 3pm. My O.H. is on school run duty.

I will be back later and I'm sure with everyone's help you will get it sussed!

The interest figures should be calculated. I exported mine to Excel.

BUT I think with the Google Spreadsheets, you must do the following.

1. At the top left hand corner you will see a tab marked "File" click it then click "Copy Spreadsheet"

2. You will then be able to edit the spreadsheet.

3. Where it says interest rate, put in the interest rate you want to use.

If this isn't working, I will work out how we can share your sheet so I can help you online.

Just worked out how you can share the spreadsheet with me (in theory at least).

1. At the top of your spreadsheet on the right hand side, there should be tab marked "Share" (ta dah) :)

Invite me as a Collaborator!

I will PM my email address, so that we can work on it later if you want.

Hmmm.... Did you definitely save your sheet first? If you didn't the only tab you will see is "Discuss".

If this Google docs thing proves to be too difficult I can think of an alternative way for you to do this. You could download and install a free spreadsheet package and then I can just email you a blank spreadsheet for you to fill in all your data.

Anyway for now - hasta luego!

Hey Coxey, I'm here too. Just read your PM. If you have installed Excel that's great! It'll make our lives much easier.

I'm going to send you the blank Excel version of Vampire's Spreadsheet 13.

Overtype all the data with your own.
